Customers are not able to contact them for complaints. support[AT]iyogi.net is an undeliverable address. feedback[AT]iyogi.net is an undeliverable address and supportdock.com is also an undeliverable address. The telephone number 800-237-3901 is not a corporate phone number. This company is a RIPOFF.

While installing a free upgrade to my antivirus and firewall the install failed and the program was neutered. In the following 3 hours about 250 malware evenst arrived on my now defenseless computer. First I tried to fix the issues myself, but after about 2 hours of total frustration. I made contact with Iyogi and agreed to their terms, $240. The first guy said you have a lot unnecessary things on your computer, “may I clean it up?” He used a remote control program to do it. Next a second tech introduced himself via text and began working on the core issues. The two of them worked on my computer for about 6 hours. When the process ended my computer was restored and working perfectly. In addition to restoring my computer from the dead, I got either one or two years(I’m not sure which) additional support all for the $240. On my score card Iyogi is outstanding! They did a super job and considering how much time they invested in the “fix” it was deal.

While the techs are very polite and nice, they have tried to fix my computer twice his week by taking “remote control” of it. the problem my system was having was easy – a printer not being able to print or scan wireless. They had taken control in two 4 hour sessions and still cannot get a printer to work. (It was working fine at one time, so I know it’s not a compatibility issue.)
Two technicians going into my registry to “TRY” anything they could think of has totally wiped out the functionality of my system.
I will now need to back up everything from the past 4 years (a mall business!!!) and reinstall Windows XP and then all the software programs I have, as well as reinstalling all the files I needed to back up.
Iyogi will just keep trying things (without knowing IF it will work) until they are out of “ideas”. This is when they will blame a virus that doesn’t exist, or corrupted files (that worked fine before they did their thing).
Don’t walk – RUN!!! Run away from even the thought of using them. Oh, and I’m now out $139 on top of having to spend the next week, day and night, reconfiguring my own computer.
I feel I know as much a they do, except I use foresight before trashing my registry or other programs that make my systems run.

Thanks for putting this discussion up. My 71-year old mother made the mistake of buying this, thinking it was legit. They were very polite and walked us through the download, but we had to run to a prior engagement. They said I could run the program(s) later. When I got home I started up the laptop and that’s where it sat. I could get to my desktop but it just froze up. Nothing. I called the customer service line quite irate and the tech began the EXACT same sales pitch the first guy did when we first called. He ran through almost the SAME steps over and over. They kept my poor mother on the line for almost 2 hours, doing the same thing over and over to NO avail. But in the meantime I did some searching online, initially under “PC Security Shield 2010″ and then under our favourite ‘iYogi’… Once I hit this page, I just told my Mom to hang up. She called her bank and already found that her initial purchase (supposedly $19.99) was not $60US. They said that since she’d authorized them to do it, that it was too late. But my parents decided to cancel the card to be safe and so no future ‘subscription’ fees were added. Good riddance to bad rubbish… avoid iyogi ppl. Thanks all.

Your rep was extremely patient with my ignorance of technological advances and procedures. Not once did he talk down to me. My computer is several year old and no one could help such old versions of stuff but your rep picked up all the problems and solved them and explained them.

My computer acquired a virus from [...] I called iyogi on Sunday morning around a.m. They installed and ran malwarebytes software which identified many corrupted files. They removed the files and reinstalled Microsoft files and downloaded a new multi-media driver from [...]. The personnel are polite and knowledgeable, and efficient. The computer is working great. I would like to get my hands on a person from [...] and rip their skin off with a pair of pliers. They cost me $[...] and I would like to get it back from [...] in money or body parts.

Stay away from Iyogi. I have had nothing but problems with the support dock, which by the way has compatiblility issues with Windows 7. Support dock shut my machine down twice, and neither time could they fix the problem. I took it to a local shop after a week of frustration, and had it going in a few minutes. So I called to cancel my subscription, and was told I would have to pay another $59 to cancel. Needless to say, I hit the roof, and explained the problems Ihad had, and the amount I had spent getting it repaired. I finally got a full refund. Stay away as far as possible from this outfit. I spent three days just trying to get them to answer the 800 number. It is a mess, and a ripoff.

It was only a good value because it was free included with the lap top. However basically they set up the wallpaper and screensaver. Virus scan if needed. Mostly they wanted me to buy a 12.95 a month plan for online service support where they can fix your computer online.
Which I guess would be good if you need that and want to spend the money.
Also they download some tools into your computer which unless you buy the plan you really wouldn’t need.

I think this is just a way to sell you the Mcaffee antivirus program. The gentleman that helped me knew his way around computers, but it seemed the only thing he wanted to do was sell me the Antivirus program. I think I could have set my computer up without any help or hard sell.

I have had a subscription to iyogi since 11/2009.I have called several times for help and experienced knowledgable technicians. Today I contacted a virus and my Antivirus software locked up. (#1 rated-Bit Defender) I had 25,000 infected files. I called iyogi and my computer was exercised and is operating fine. After I subscribed, I too googled for reviews and noticed all the bad reviews. I have had iyogi resolved about 5 issues without complaint. I can only say that I have no complaints and have no reservations about renewing my subscription when it comes time. Thanks iyogi. Job well done !!!

I can’t believe a legitimate PC company would in any way endorse iyogi. Just google them before you try them, and you will see tons of dissatisfied customers. Iyogi has terrible customer service, hang ups, endless wait times and transfers. Watch out if you are looking for your money back, they will tell you that you can get a full refund if dissatisfied, but for reality, check google my friends! Anyone who rates this company anything other than one star is either an employee or just not in the know.

I would give iYogi a rating of 0 if it was possible. I spent 30 to 45 minutes with those crooks the other day listening to their non-stop routine. It was all fast talk and bluster in a mostly incomprehensible accent. When we finally to go the nitty gritty (price) I was shocked to hear that they wanted almost $350 for my PC and more for the laptop. They had passed themnselves off as Microsoft (which I had dialed and still don’t know how I got connected to iYogi. At that point (even though I had given them my Visa number) I backed out telling them not to even think of putting a charge on my card. They kept talking so I hung up and they called back and I hung up again. I am just thankful I escaped what seems to be one of the biggest scams I have run across.

Maybe I was expecting too much from this little machine…I was looking for something that would be relatively fast on the internet but returned it after 2 weeks. Internet pages loaded extremely slow and I was not happy with Windows & STARTER version. I will say that battery life was amazing and weight and size were great however, if it won’t work well on the internet….what good is it? I will probably need to bump up to 13 inch screen to get Windows 7 premium, different processor and pay a little more.

It was an awesome thing to watch your techs go through my system and bit by bit, fix issue after issue. I had to listen hard to understand some of the things that they were saying because they speak differently but I couldn’t care less coz they got me back online.

They got my business because I was led to believe they were Microsoft. I Googled Microsoft, which gave me a phone number for MICROSOFT! but when you call the number, it is actually Iyogi that you get in touch with. I didn’t realize that it was not Microsoft until I had already signed up for the service. I realized when he told me they would have to charge me another 200 dollars because my computer was in such bad shape and was ready to crash. I then told him I changed my mind and decided I did not want the service, but he told me I can cancel the service, but the payment he took from me 2 minutes before of 139.99 was nonrefundable!! That is when I started checking the Internet about them and I checked the BBB and they give them an F. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! I am just thankful that I never let them take control of my computer. Tomorrow I am going to my bank to dispute this charge. Even though the lowest score here is 2 stars, I give them none (F)

It took two phone calls, 45′ of hold time, and an hour-and-a-half of letting them poke at my machine remotely, to learn that they know nothing about anything except Windows.
When they went into their sales pitch about how I should also pay them $350/year for “better protection from malware on the internet,” I explained that in 35 years, I’ve never used anti-virus software, had a virus, or known a co-worker who had. “Oh. You must have used Macintosh. Only computer professionals can understand Macintosh.”
